Welcome to Hanover Cottage, a fabulous period property of character in the popular seaside resort of Whitby in North Yorkshire. Quality self catering accommodation available for weekly holidays Saturday to Saturday all year round, and for Short Breaks at a minimum of 3 nights. Short Breaks are usually only available to book 4 weeks in advance. Search availability and view prices as we regularly add new breaks and discounts.

We provide everything the self catering guest requires, and can easily accommodate up to 8 people with spacious living space and 4 bedrooms. Our prices start from £85 per night or £560 per week. Bed linen, towels and utilities are provided with no additional charge; please see the 'accommodation' page for a full list of items. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, bread, milk, biscuits and wine is provided too.

A stunning, large, detached house, Hanover Cottage has a fully eqipped kitchen, living room, conservatory, dining room and snug. A staircase leads to a large landing area, 2 spacious double rooms and 2 twin rooms (1 with single bunk beds). There is a lovely family bathroom with a large shower enclosure and 1 double room has a spacious ensuite with a bath. With the luxury of a private driveway providing parking for 3 cars, and a beautifully established garden, Hanover Cottage really is a rare Whitby gem.

Prominently positioned on Prospect Hill, Hanover Cottage is perfectly located for accessing all local amenities. Whitby's inner harbour is literally only 5 minutes walk from the property and access to public transport is within 20 metres. Pannett Park is just down the hill and has a fantastic adventure playground for children of all ages.

We welcome families, and a travel cot, high chair and intercom system are available for younger guests. Guests are welcome to arrive at Hanover Cottage from15:00 where they will be greeted and provided with keys and a quick tour. We ask that guests please depart by 10:00 on their last day.

Please note: The accommodation has a strict non-smoking policy throughout. We cannot accept reservations from groups of single people under the age of 25. Unfortunately we also cannot accept pets at the property.

A 30% deposit is payable to secure an advanced booking. We can take debit and credit card payments over the telephone, and we also accept Bank Transfers. Alternatively payment can be made by cheque. Full payment details will be provided at the time of booking. A deposit is non-refundable for cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date. Please ensure you refer to our Terms & Conditions before making a reservation.

Reservations must be paid for in full 4 weeks before the date of arrival.
